If Boots is the keeper of the nation’s purse strings, then it’s not a bad thing. Over the years the pharmacy chain has become a destination for deals and deals. That was certainly the case over the weekend when it ran its first Black Friday event (the most magical day of the year for retailers).
One of the highlights of the event was the £110 Oral B White Pro 5000 Complete Power Plus rechargeable toothbrush. That was just one deal that beat the original price and which was accompanied by a group of other bargains, some of which took on a £100-£100.00 price tag. This year the Black Friday event ran throughout the weekend.
The range of present price, bargain and no deal deals range from Oral B’s toothbrush to Oral B’s new toothpaste (still is priced at £7.99 a month – an awesome deal). There are also bridal rings from Pandora (only £85.00!) and Oral B’s dust-muffling electric toothbrush holder. It’s unlikely any-one remembered the toothbrush holder’s £100 price tag a year ago.

Also new this year is a partnership with Amy’s Kitchen (Britney Spears’ favourite brand) and Wildfowl’s Milk (who have had a drink named after their toilet). This partnership, for example, saw Boots sell wine-scented poo-scented products for the first time.
And oh yes, there were the printable coupons too!
