TV to watch this week: ‘Secrets & Lies,’ ‘Cedric’s Barber Battle,’ ‘The Simpsons Movie 20th Anniversary Special’

Thanksgiving is upon us, and to help us make the most of our holiday break, here’s a look at new programs premiering this week.

“Cedric’s Barber Battle,” The CW: Hip-hop superstar Cedric the Entertainer serves up $50,000 for the winning barber in this competition, on a world premiere.

“Secrets & Lies,” ABC: The anthology based on the Australian series brings back Ryan Phillippe as a detective who digs into the life of a beautiful woman who dies in mysterious circumstances.

“Suburgatory,” ABC: Season 3 picks up with the crazy, dysfunctional Chatswin family as the Chatswin High football team gets ready to face the Red. Watch a new trailer with stars Carla Gugino and Jane Levy.

“The Simpsons Movie 20th Anniversary Special,” Fox: To celebrate the animated show’s grand-daddy anniversary, Fox releases a 1980s special that included a slew of celebrities, and the unveiling of a tribute wall to honor Homer Simpson’s first movies. The special will be “steamed and aired Thanksgiving evening,” Fox announced.

“The Full Monty,” Lifetime: This film based on the British hit — starring Mark Wahlberg, with a tune by P.Diddy and directed by Tony Goldwyn — draws inspiration from the 1992 movie “Dirty Dancing.”

On USA, a reunion of the original “The X-Files” showrunners will air at 10 p.m. on Sunday. William B. Davis, creator Chris Carter, Frank Spotnitz and Darin Morgan will be on hand to reminisce about the cult classic.
